| music is hard-wired into me. the piano was my first love, and i have been playing it from virtually the day i could sit up on the piano stool. some of these songs were written in my teens, and have been rattling around in my head ever since. i've always wanted to record them but it was only when PC technology came along that i was able to do this. i worked as a hotel lounge pianist for some years in my twenties - a pretty soul destroying period which basically shut down my musical appetite. since i quit that job, creative energy has returned, and it was then that the later songs were written. | |
| so what have i learnt from making this record? well recording (and particularly mixing) is not easy. but if you've got songs in you, you've no choice but to give it a try. here are a few pics. i hope you enjoy the music. that's what it's for! | |
